Join us for a unique tour of the world’s largest hydrogen fuel cell bus fleet. BC Transit operates a fleet of 20 hydrogen fuel cell buses in Whistler, B.C. In addition to being the largest fuel cell bus fleet in the world, these 20 buses make up 70% of the local bus fleet in Whistler. The total number of transit buses in Whistler is 28 buses.
In Whistler, you’ll visit BC Transit’s hydrogen-rated bus maintenance facility where you will see the hydrogen fuel cell buses. You will also view the world’s largest-capacity hydrogen fueling station. The fueling capacity of this station is 1,000 kgs of hydrogen per day. Finally, you will enjoy a special fuel cell bus ride around Whistler Village.
The drive from Vancouver to the world-class ski resort of Whistler, takes about one hour and 45 minutes and offers spectacular scenery along the famous 2010 Olympics “Sea-to-Sky” highway.
Cost: $75 CDN + HST (Lunch is included)
The tour is only available to registered delegates of HFC2011. You can register for the tour through the conference registration system.
